As most of the friends of Family Schafer know, John and Grace recently decided to give up the "vagabond" lifestyle of their 5th wheel and purchase a more permanent winter home in Florida. Below are some pictures of their new place (which they don't actually move into until mid-April).
| Approaching their house from the front entrance (behind us a ways though). | |
| The front of their house | |
| Doris and Judy Check out the front room. Notice that Judy is standing along side the original outer wall. The house is 11 feet from that wall to the left and then has a 9 foot addition from that wall to the right. | |
| As dad calls it "A three butt kitchen" Three Deuling butts even so that is reasonably sized (oh, I am going to pay for that). | |
| The "dining room" | |
| The front entry and part of the living room. (Joe and I decided to be "big" about it and let Katie and Greg have the crane lamp and the fish lamp showing) | |
| The other half of the living room | |
| Looking from the front entry down to the
back of the house. Again, notice the original side wall running down
the center. To the right, the bedroom and "master bath" To the left, the office and half bath. |
|
| The master bath (size may be deceptive due to the mirrored door on the right). | |
| The master bedroom (any guesses how long mom and dad have the place before the shell bed spread disappears?) | |
| Now to the other side of the house... The half bath |
|
| Dad's office and the back door to the "patio" | |
| More of the office | |
| More cabinets in the office. Lots of storage | |
| The back of the house.
It has that uneven back wall due to rules about distance from the property line. Technically, their patio continues from their property onto the communal "back yard" |
